The Davisville Village boundaries include; Eglinton Avenue East to the North, Merton Street to the South, Bayview Avenue to the East and Yonge Street to the West.
Davisville Village is centrally located in mid-town Toronto, and is a neighbourhood that is popular with singles, young couples and families. It’s history dates back to the 1860′s and it saw major development in the early 1900′s. Davisville Village was named after John Davis, the communities first postmaster, who also assisted in the founding of the Davisville Public School and was the operator of Davis Pottery, which became the Village’s largest employer.
Most of the homes in Davisville were built in the 1920′s and 1930′s. West of Mount Pleasant the home are mostly large two and three-storey English cottage and Edwardian-style homes. There are also a number of apartment buildings, new condominiums and duplexes. To the East of Mount Pleasant you’ll predominantly find detached houses, semi-detached houses and bungalows. This area also has some of the neighbourhoods historical homes from the late 1800′s.
Davisville’s main shopping area runs along Mount Pleasant Road. Along this stretch shopper’s will experience antique and collectible shops, home decorating store’s, children’s clothing and toy stores and a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bakeries.
Within Davisville Village you will find Davisville Park. This is a hub of recreational activity for the community. During the day you will find children enjoying the Davisville Park playground and wadding pool. It also has six tennis courts, which are used by the Davisville Tennis Club on nights and weekends. The club has an active house league. Davisville Park also has a baseball diamond which is used by both adult and children leagues.

Davisville Village has many TTC access points including the Mount Pleasant Road, Davisville Avenue and Eglinton local bus routes. These buses will connect passengers to the Yonge-University-Spadina subway line. The Davisville and Eglinton subway stations on Yonge Street are within walking distance to most parts of the community.
